Bamiyan Silk Road Festival

Every year the Silk Road Festival is organized & celebrated globally in the countries linked with the Silk Road. For that reason the Bamyan Ecotourism Program has intended to organize the First Bamyan Silk Road Festival at the provincial level in the memory of the region’s famous history.

The Bamyan Ecotourism Program is a joint initiative of the Provincial Government & Aga Khan Foundation in close collaboration with Ministry of Information & Culture with financial support by NZAID. It aims a developing the tourism industry as a source of income for local communities and preserving the rich cultural and natural heritage of Bamyan.
