The Giant Buddhas is a documentary about the two gigantic Buddha statues that were cut in the cliff flanking of the remote Bamiyan valley of present day Afghanistan, fifteen hundred years ago. The 95 min. documentary was produced by the Swiss Christian Frei in 2005, but is currently released in movie theaters, e.g. this month in Germany.
According to the press, this documentary is highly worth seeing, taking the spectator on a beautiful journay.
