World Heritage and Sustainable Development International Conference - with the official support of the Portuguese Ministry of the Culture
Dear Sir /Madam
Due to significant number of requests the Organising Committee of Heritage 2008 extended the deadline for submitting abstracts until 31 October 2007.
We are pleased to inform that the International Journal of Heritage Studies – Routledge – is considering publishing selected papers of this Conference in a special double issue.
HERITAGE 2008 aims to gather in an International Conference several worldwide experts on the relationships between Heritage and Human Development (economics and management, tourism, local identity, musuems, human conflicts, communities participation,...), Natural Environment (regional planning, economic constraints, interaction with humans,...)and Building Preservation (techniques of preservation, urban planning, significance of buildings,...), promoting significant discussion on these relevant topics.
Our Key Note Speakers are Prof. Frank Matero, from the University of Pennsylvania, USA, Prof. Tomislav Sola, from the University of Zagreb, Croatia, and Prof. Gregory Ashworth, from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands.
